Eresus Walckenaeri Orange Ring Greek Velvet Spiderling 1/8th to 1/4 inch

The Walckenaeri / Greek Lady Bird baby Velvet Spiderlings are ready for adoption. These babies are 4 months old and are just becoming available for adoption. Each baby will come with a small container home with substrate and a piece of cork bark to house them until they are large enough to go into a small terrestrial sling enclosure like a 4x4x4 size. They will remain inside of this small  home for close to a year before they are ready to transfer. At this size the babies are eating fruit flies every 2 to 3 days. Velvet spiders have a life span of up to 5 years in captivity and in some cases we can see close to 8 years life span. Eresus walckenaeri requires a bone dry environment. Humidity can be harmful. This species receives all of their hydration from their prey.

The last photo is a photo of a mature female. All female Walckenaeri develope a beautiful orange ring when they mature. Males turn Red with black Markings when mature. They are both beautiful.
