Stegodyphus, one of my all time favorite species of velvet spiders. They boast a beautiful size of over 2 inches when mature. This species is a desert species and will get most of their hydration from their food. I provide a light mist of water once a week. They are Arboreal like jumping spiders one of my 4x4x6 sized enclosures will be perfect to house them in. They are eating blue bottle spikes or mealworms. These babies are a great size at 1/2 inch and make excellent begginer species for those who would like to experience keeping velvet spiders. Their average life span is 5 years in captivity. Velvet spiders are not able to be seed until maturity or close to maturity
